Aircraft Appraisal Services

Since 1998, Nationwide Aircraft Assurance Services has has performed thousands of appraisals on aircraft totaling over $3 billion in value. Our clients include financial institutions, corporations, law and accounting firms, government agencies, and individual aircraft buyers and sellers.

Nationwide Aircraft Assurance Services offers two types of aircraft appraisals to suit the individual requirements of our clients. The Certified Appraisal and the Desktop Appraisal. Our appraisals strictly adhere to all applicable Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), and code of ethics and standards set forth by nationally and internationally recognized appraisal certification organizations.

Certified Appraisals

Certified Appraisals are typically required by lending institutions and the courts when legal documentation of aircraft value is required. A Certified Appraisal requires our appraiser to personally inspect the subject aircraft and its maintenance records. The appraised value of the aircraft is certified to be accurate based on the appraiser's first hand inspection of the aircraft and its maintenance records.

Desktop Appraisals

A desktop appraisal is an excellent cost effective alternative to the certified appraisal when legal documentation of aircraft value is not required. The content of information and valuation provided within a Desktop Appraisal report is essentially the same as is found within the certified appraisal. The difference is that the physical inspection of the aircraft and its maintenance records is accomplished by the aircraft owner or a licensed maintenance provider of the aircraft rather than our appraiser. The Desktop Appraisal valuation can be expected to be as accurate as a certified appraisal as long as the source of information provided can be relied on.

At approximately one-half the cost of a certified appraisal, the Desktop Appraisal is extremely cost-effective and often relied upon by buyers of aircraft, tax accountants and in many cases, lending institutions and the IRS.

Why Choose Us?

Nationwide Aircraft Assurance Services gives special attention to details that are essential when evaluating aircraft value.

Our appraisal methods go above and beyond the practices of many other aircraft appraisal services that determine aircraft value simply by referencing "book values" from publications such as "Aircraft Bluebook Price Digest" and "Vref". Reliance on these publications does not provide an acceptable alternative to a professionally prepared appraisal for a number of reasons. Price guide publications are generally updated quarterly and based upon sales data that can be as much as 6 months old. In addition, a reference guide cannot determine the effect on value due to the condition of airframe and powerplant components, paint, interior, avionics, damage history and accuracy of maintenance records.

At Nationwide Aircraft Assurance Services, we have invested over $1 million dollars developing an accurate, up-to-date computerized database that includes the pricing details of every aircraft sold worldwide on a daily basis. Our database is updated each and every day and is unquestionably the most accurate source of recorded aircraft sales transaction information in the industry. We utilize this database combined with a comprehensive, hands on inspection process to create an accurate foundation on which to analyze and accurately assess the current market value of each specific aircraft - piston, turbine, helicopter, warbird classic, large commercial airliner or home built experimental. This process combined with our years of aviation experience ensures that each client receives the most accurate and professional aircraft appraisal available.
